Discover Mystique Pond Chinooks

Mystique Pond Kiana is our keeper from Enya's 2020 litter. Kiana is beautiful, inside and out, a true love bug who loves to play with her family and retrieve sticks from the pond.  Her movements are beautiful and effortless, it seems like she is floating and will go forever, the ultimate sled dog! 

Kiana has many achievements for such a young one. To mention but a few, she was the first of the 3 girls to obtain her UKC  Grand Show Champion title, she was National Best of Breed in 2022.  She has been listed in the UKC Top Ten 3 years in a row and ranked #1 in 2023 by a large margin (points).

Kiana is a very healthy young lady, with good hips and normal elbows and no genetic health issues (Embark and Wisdom panel).  Kiana has great genetic Diversity for a Chinook. She is in the 34th percentile (Wisdom panel) on the right side of the bell-shaped curve for Chinooks. She was also tested for Internal Relatedness (IR; measurement of how closely the parents are related) by UC Davis as part of a pilot Diversity Testing Screen for Chinooks. Her IR= - 0.23. The lower the value the better, a negative value is what a breed should aim for and is an unusually good value for a Chinook.

We are expecting Kiana to be in season in November/December for breeding and we are very excited!

Bashaba Sweet Sawyer was born in 2016 and is owned by Vanessa Downing Sheppard. Sawyer is a loving family dog and as sweet and outgoing as can be! He loves his two teenaged boys, his cats and of course, his mom and dad. He is a large, freighter-type Chinook and weighs in at over 90lbs. Sawyer is a very healthy boy with a clean genetic panel (Embark) and his hips are rated 'excellent'. Sawyer is not a show dog but has lovely conformation and overall is a beautiful Chinook! His mom describes him as " a gentle giant, devoted to children and his cats.  He is an old soul and most enjoys making lengthy eye contact with his loved ones."

We are very excited to have him sire Kiana's litter!
