Discover Mystique Pond Chinooks

Kiana is our keeper from Enya's 2020 litter. Kiana is beautiful, inside and out, a true love bug who loves to play with her family and retrieve sticks from the pond. She is a true snuggle bug and sleeps in my bed, curled up next to me. Kiana is tall, with very good bone structure, and weighs in at a slim and fit 70 lbs.  She is a very athletic girl, and can play and run on the farm all day.  Her movements are beautiful and effortless, it seems like she is floating and will go forever, the ultimate sled dog! 

Kiana has many achievements for such a young one. She was the first of the 3 girls to obtain her UKC  Grand Show Champion title, she was National Best of Breed in 2022 and  she has been listed in the UKC Top Ten 3 years in a row, ranking #1 in 2022 by a large margin (points). Kiana also earned her CGC  (Canine Good Citizen Award - AKC) in 2023 and was awarded the AKC Championship title in April 2024.

Kiana is a very healthy young lady, with good hips, normal elbows and normal eyes (OFA), and she has no tested genetic health issues (Embark and Wisdom panel).  Kiana has great genetic Diversity for a Chinook. She is in the 34th percentile (Wisdom panel) which is on the right side of the bell-shaped curve for Chinooks. She was also tested for Internal Relatedness (IR; measurement of how closely the parents are related) by UC Davis as part of a pilot Diversity Screen for Chinooks. Her IR= - 0.23. The lower the value the better, a negative value is what a breed should aim for and is an unusually good value for a Chinook.

Kiana will be bred to Mosley during her Summer heat cycle (likely June).

Mosley was born in February of 2021 and is owned by Arlene O'Donnell. Mosley is a giant goof-ball (118 lbs) and lives with his dad Moose, and the O'Donnell's in Northern Montana. He is a very healthy boy with a clean genetic panel (Embark) and his hips and eyes are good. Mosley is not a show dog but he has lovely conformation and is a beautiful Chinook overall! 

Here is how his mom describes him:

 "He is a big, handsome lover boy! He thinks that he is a 15 lb lap dog and does not realize his strengh & size.  He loves to swim & fetch stick in the river or lakes and loves to chase a ball and tackle his dad in the backyard. He is strong and would be a great puller or scent dog with training.  He can smell my husband eating beef jerky a mile away. He is comfortable with small children and elderly people. We are only cautious with him around our baby grand daughter & elderly parents because of his size. He easily forgives. If he gets scolded or in trouble, it does not phase him for long and he doesn't pout. He does not seem to have any food or seasonal allergies.
